Our Mission

Restore the bottom, and the rest follows

Ground fish live where the food chain begins. When the grass flats go, the shrimp and crabs go, and everything above them follows. Our mission is to keep that foundation intact through science-based restoration, hands-on education, and relentless local advocacy.

Habitat restoration

Seagrass and oyster habitat is the nursery for nearly every fish in the estuary. We replant, monitor, and protect it — and we push for the policy that keeps it there.

Water quality monitoring

Consistent, transparent, publicly available data. We sample the same sites on the same schedule so nobody can argue about whether things are changing.

Youth leadership

We're run by young people. Every program is designed so students lead the fieldwork, present the findings, and speak at the meetings that matter.
